A Deliberate Approach
to Therapy.
We were built for people who don't resonate with traditional therapy — capable, successful, and outwardly composed, yet internally overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns they can't break alone.
"Therapy should be intentional, direct, and deeply personal — not passive, vague, or dictated by insurance requirements."
Therapy Should Match the Client.
Most therapy models are designed for stabilization and symptom management. Our work is designed for people who carry significant responsibility, are used to solving problems independently, and expect depth, clarity, and forward movement.
We approach therapy as a collaborative, strategic process — one that respects your intelligence, autonomy, and time.
- Carry significant professional and personal responsibility
- Are used to solving problems independently
- Expect depth, clarity, and forward movement — not reassurance
- Want meaningful internal change, not just symptom relief
- Value discretion, autonomy, and results above all
What You Can Expect
Honest conversations and clear feedback — no passive listening or scripted responses.
Clinical depth paired with real-world understanding of high-pressure lives.
Present, attentive, and invested — not distant, formulaic, or detached.
Sessions evolve as you grow. This is not a static process — it moves with you.
Meet Your Clinicians
Daniel Rubin
Daniel works with high-functioning adults who appear successful on the outside but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck internally. Many of his clients are professionals and entrepreneurs carrying significant responsibility — quietly struggling with chronic stress, emotional shutdown, irritability, anxiety, or relationship strain.
His work focuses on helping clients regain internal stability, emotional control, and clarity without losing their edge. Sessions are structured to identify the underlying patterns driving stress, avoidance, or emotional shutdown — and to shift those patterns in a way that fits how clients actually think and live.
Constantly "on," burned out, emotionally numb or reactive, disconnected, trapped in repeating patterns.
Emotional regulation under pressure, reduced anxiety, greater clarity, healthier relationships, renewed purpose.
Catherine Lovern
Catherine works with high-functioning adults who are capable, responsible, and outwardly successful — yet internally overwhelmed, disconnected, or emotionally exhausted. Many of her clients are professionals and leaders who have prioritized performance and others' needs at the expense of their own emotional well-being.
Her approach creates a therapeutic environment that is calm, contained, and emotionally safe — while still encouraging meaningful exploration and growth. Sessions are collaborative and paced intentionally, allowing clients to process deeply without feeling rushed or pushed.
Chronically stressed, emotionally numb, stuck, disconnected from relationships, unsure why success no longer feels fulfilling.
Emotional resilience, greater self-awareness, reduced anxiety, healthier boundaries, a stronger sense of internal stability.
Meet Nala
Nala is our office dog and an unofficial but essential part of the Transcend team. Research consistently shows that the presence of a therapy dog can reduce cortisol levels, lower anxiety, and help clients feel more at ease — especially during difficult conversations.
Her calm presence has a way of making the work feel a little lighter, even when the topics are heavy.
We Don't Aim to Work With Everyone
Good therapy requires mutual alignment. Our goal is not to work with everyone — it's to work well with the right people.
- Are high-functioning but internally exhausted
- Feel disconnected, irritable, or emotionally shut down
- Want depth, not surface-level coping
- Value privacy and intentional care
- Are ready to invest in meaningful personal work
- Can engage thoughtfully and do deeper work
- You're seeking the lowest-cost option
- You want brief reassurance without deeper work
- You're not ready to examine patterns honestly
- You prefer a passive, open-ended approach
